Firm
Method
A short sequence, four deliverables, and a commitment to make you self-sufficient faster than our commercial interest would suggest.
- Sequence
- Frame · Diagnose · Decide · Execute
- Starting point
- A framed diagnostic
- Commitment
- Skills transfer included
-
01
Frame
We state the problem before looking for a solution. Interviews with leadership and business owners, document review, scope and success criteria. Nothing starts until those criteria are written down and agreed.
- Signed-off framing note
- Explicit scope and out-of-scope
- Measurable success criteria
- Schedule and stakeholder availability
-
02
Diagnose
We go and find the facts where they live: in the systems, in the data, and above all with the people doing the work. Gaps are measured against applicable frameworks, not against an opinion.
- Documented, sourced assessment
- Gap analysis by domain
- Risks valued in business impact
- Field friction surfaced and ranked
-
03
Decide
We present two or three costed scenarios with their consequences owned. Our role is to inform the decision, not to take it for you or bury it in two hundred slides.
- Costed, compared scenarios
- Reasoned recommendation
- Prioritised roadmap
- Budget trajectory
-
04
Execute
We stay as long as it is useful and leave when your teams own the subject. Rollout management, training, handover of deliverables and a planned exit with checkpoints at three and six months.
- Programme management and governance
- Training and documentation
- Operational tracking indicators
- Exit plan and checkpoints
What we hold ourselves to
-
01
Independence
No referral commission, no paid vendor partnership. Our recommendation has nothing to sell.
-
02
Facts first
Every finding is sourced: a document, a measurement, a dated interview. An opinion is presented as one.
-
03
Seniority on the ground
The consultants you meet before signing are the ones who run the engagement. No substitution.
-
04
Planned exit
The end of the engagement is dated at framing. Lasting dependency on the firm is a failure, not a business model.
-
05
Strict confidentiality
No client name published without written consent. Collected data is destroyed at the agreed term.
-
06
Short writing
A ten-page note that gets read beats a hundred-page report that gets archived. Detail goes in the appendix.
How we contract
-
Fixed-price diagnostic
Scope and price set upfront. The most common format for a first collaboration.
-
Fixed-price engagement
Contracted deliverables and milestones, with a commitment on results within the defined scope.
-
Ongoing advisory
Regular presence in the steering committee, fractional CISO or CIO, quarterly review.
Next step
The first conversation is for qualifying, not selling.
We would rather tell you straight away that your subject is not for us than discover it three weeks in.
